Terms and Conditions

  1. The APA is open only to people of Asian or mixed Asian heritage who permanently reside and work within the UK. For the purposes of the APA, ‘Asian’ refers to individuals of South Asian, South-East Asian, Middle Eastern and/or East Asian ethnicity, and ‘mixed Asian’ refers to all people of mixed-race backgrounds with some Asian heritage.
  2. All nominations must be made using the online application form at http://www.theprofessionalawards.com/nomination-form and follow the instructions available on the website. The deadline for all entries is as shown on the nomination guide page. Nominations received after this deadline shall not be processed.
  3. No responsibility is taken for nominations that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the nomination is not proof of receipt.
  4. If short-listed, the nominee agrees to provide contact details for his or her current employer; a personal referee, and copies of his or her professional qualifications to date in order to confirm the details provided within the nominee’s application. Failure to provide any such information upon demand shall result in a rejection of that nomination.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right to not process entries with illegible nomination forms, those which are deemed inappropriate, or those that do not include the correct amount of entered material.
  6. Self-nomination and nomination of other individuals is permitted.
  7. The decision of the judges shall be absolute and final.
  8. The Organiser shall consider each nomination through a judging panel on its merits and on the basis solely of the information contained within the relevant nomination and at its discretion all nominations shall be considered in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  9. Judging will take place as decided by the Organiser.
  10. Nominees will be invited to attend the APA ceremony to be held in London where the winners shall be announced. There shall be no prior release of information regarding winners.
  11. If a nominee wish to request memberships for others, they shall have to be purchased via the tickets and membership page.
  12. All nominees, by virtue of their nominations, hereby give the Organiser and the APA their permission to use their photographs and details of achievements in print, social or any other media in perpetuity.
  13. All attendees at the APA ceremony, by virtue of their attendance, hereby give the Organiser and the APA their permission to use their images in photographs and marketing material in perpetuity.
  14. Anyone found to be behaving in a manner that is detrimental to other guests at the APA ceremony shall be immediately escorted off-site and shall not be allowed to re-enter under any circumstances.
