Educational Achievements:

Mr Irfan Malik graduated in 1993 from Nishtar Medical School. He also received training in basic neurosurgery from the Institute of Medical Sciences, IBD.
He continued advance neurosurgery training at the Royal Hallamshire hospital in Sheffield and University hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire during 2001 to 2006.
He enhanced his experience by completing fellowships in complex spine and epilepsy surgery from University College Hospital and Kings' College Hospital in London.

Mr Malik believes in managing his patients in a holistic manner, utilising the least invasive therapeutic measures whenever possible.
Mr Malik's key area of expertise lies in keyhole endoscopic spine surgery; which he has pioneered at Kings' College Hospital. At present he is the only surgeon in the UK to offer this procedure.
His clinical interests are spinal and cranial neurosurgery. He specialises in spinal assessment, treatment and surgery, including surgical and nonsurgical treatment of degenerative, traumatic and malignant spinal disorders.
Mr Malik has published and presented at national and international level on numerous topics including spine disorders, epilepsy surgery, brain tumours, and hydrocephalus. His current research focuses on minimal invasive spine surgery, motion preservation and disc arthroplasty.
